While you are right that health care directly affects those of us who work
as contractors, but I think Dan is right. Injecting politics, especially at
this time on this subject, will quickly move the thread away from the job
market to a political discourse rife with partisanship. Tech writers do not
need politics to have a heated discussion. All we need is to ask a question
concerning some obscure bit of grammar to do the trick.

On the subject of the job market...I too have had a number of calls and
emails asking me if I'm interested a particular position....unfortunately,
most of them are for the same position and most of the solicitations are
from temp agencies located outside the country (USA). Caller ID and the
Delete key are wonderful friends.
