There's nothing political about the observation that high COBRA or
HIPAA bills can take a big chunk out of a contractor's paycheck. My
wife and I are currently paying around $850 a month for COBRA, and it
will probably go up to over $1000 if there's no reform in place before
we have to switch to HIPAA.

And there's nothing that's going to change that except political
action. Without previous political action we wouldn't even have COBRA
or HIPAA.
