Second that! I've used FastStone for the past couple of years at home,
and I like it a lot.

Ooh... Faststone can even record screen captures with audio... (*gets
out credit card to upgrade from previous free version*).

I like Snagit, too, but when using as a portable app, I found Snagit
provides too much overhead, and takes too long to load. I click the
Faststone shortcut in my taskbar, capture my screens, and close it.
I've never seen anything work this fast.

My only concern is that Faststone is windows only - and I use a Mac at
home. Ah well, can't have everything.
