Argh - I have seen this before and for the life of me, can't remember how
it got started or how I fixed it. Word 2007 on Win7. I have set the value
for Enabled Editing Language to English (United States) and for Primary
Editing Language to English (United States), but when I run the Spelling and
Grammar function, what is being used is French in one particular document at
one particular point in the document and then the spelling/grammar check
remains stuck in French.

Here's the scenario:

1.) Open a new document. Type some garbage in it. Under Review, check
Spelling and Grammar. The Spelling and Grammar dialog box shows English
(United States).

2.) Open the wigged out document. Under Review, check Spelling and Grammar.
. The Spelling and Grammar dialog box shows English (United States) when the
document is first opened. Fine.

3.) Start spell checking through the document at the beginning of the
document. Document lands on a word in this one particular table. Boom -
Spelling and Grammar dialog box now shows French as the language. Sigh.

4.) Keep spell checking in the document. Language is never reset to English
even after moving out of the table to check the rest of the document.

5.) Open another document with wigged out document still open.

6.) Spelling and grammar stuck in French.

7.) Close wigged out document.

8.) Open another document or even the wigged out one. Spelling and grammar
back to English.

And yes, I have deleted and recreated this table at least five times now.
Sigh.
