No, this is a bug in 2007 that seems to have been fixed in 2010 (an automatic bookmark is not set if you accept changes on the last doc you close when Word is closing, or some such thing, providing evidence that programmers make mistakes and don't call all the right subroutines under all possible circumstances...I'm aghast, myself.).

There is a discussion in the Word MVP area of Microsoft's website of how to overcome the bug with macros.

Shift+F5 definitely works in Word 2010. Is there a setting in Word 2007
that disables it?
