Yes, I finally did it -- started installing apps on my new Win 7 PC! So far so good, with Microsoft Office and Adobe CS and TC suites seemingly all updated and ok.

So now I'll want to configure the machine for a quicker boot up, and want to avoid the old msconfig equivalent in favor of a less error-prone approach. This site has reviews of a few programs: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-startup-manager.htm.

But, does anyone have any favorites or ones-to-avoid?

TIA,
-Monique
