Subject:Re: creating a portfolio -- writing samples From:Gene Kim-Eng <techwr -at- genek -dot- com> To:Toni Williams <tonicw -at- yahoo -dot- com> Date:Tue, 1 Feb 2011 13:15:55 -0800
Start by contacting past employers or clients and asking permission to
show or redistribute documents you created for them. Lots of docs
that were sensitive at the time you created them may not be anymore.
Browse the websites of past employers or clients to see if anything
you did for them in the past is now openly available for download.
If you've never done any writing for any employer except classified
govt contractors or agencies, start browsing the sites for open source
projects and volunteering your time.
