I spent 18 years in interior Alaska where 50 below Januaries were the
norm..and I heated the house with wood. I drove a Landcruiser with no power
steering. That and the fact I was a single parent helped me convince the
University to allow me to take classes (and later work) on the really rough
days out of the house where all I had was dialup. There is nothing like
uploading a huge file at 14.4K. I at least had two phone lines, because of
those files.

Ah..the good old days..

BTW Becca.to get back to the subject of your post. I checked out Ann Arbor
on Craig's List and saw a few job postings, including one for a technical
writer. Craig's List isn't the best technical job hunting resource, but what
the heck. It's a start up.

Considering there were 364 inches of snow my last year there...I can imagine
she liked the weather in Vermont better! Actually it was beautiful, just
ridiculously cold. I remember loving the snow..because it woul actually get
above zero to snow! :)
