And here is a simple and efficient method. You can add a line that collapses the selection before moving it if you like.

Sub moveItOnOutBetter()
If Selection.Information(wdWithInTable) = True Then
Selection.EndOf unit :=wdTable, Extend :=wdMove
Selection.Move unit :=wdLine, Count := 2
End If
End Sub
