Yes, exactly. While there are certain "artist" or "artisan" members of
the Disney team (and, ok, I'll grit my teeth and say the Harlequin team as well), once the creative aspects are handed off to production, the
team's output is every bit as much an "engineered" product as the DVD
player or theater projector used to show it.

What distinguishes "artisan" from "engineered" is standardization,
repeatability and scalability in methods and tools.
