And while I don't mind electronic documents as an environment saving measure, I also prefer a separate device for reading. I don't feel comfortable when I follow along while reading online documents when the reader and the tool are on the same computer.

I prefer my reading experience to be completely independent from th workin device. Even dual monitors isn't enough.

An iPad is a good size for reading print-ready PDF files. It's almost like reading a book. I can see how e-ink prevents eyestrain during recreational reading, but the iPad worked great when I had it.
