Debra Wanamaker has a Word formatting issue

"I have a short document, with a small number of styles. When I open the document, the numbered list style has lost its formatting. The number and the indent is gone. It's easy to fix--I just modify the style. The pdf comes out fine, but when I save and close, then open it again, the formatting is gone and I'm back where I started."

Debra:

Numbering in Word is controlled both by the paragraph style and the numering format. Go to styles and Formatting, and read the details of the numbering, paragraph indents, and font info. Then go to the Bullets and Numbering tool and make your selected numbering format have matching font and indent specifictions. If the style and numbering definintions do not match, Work wierdness happens.
