In reading the thread it seems that the relationship is one way, that
followers will receive items in their news feed that are posted by the
followed. In which case I'd use "share" as in "Foo 2.0 allows user to share
jabberwocky on Facebook."

After all the app isn't going to gain any friends, followers, or likes --
the subject and content of what is shared does that.. Unless of course Foo
2.0 is generating the content as well.
