I recently had an interview where I mentioned that I appreciated being edited (which I do). The job was in a field in which I had a little experience, but much to learn. I was excited about the prospect and I thought I would sound humble by admitting I expected to encounter a learning curve. The feedback I received was--she relies too much on editors.

Guess it wasn't meant to be.
