A solution might be found by focusing on when and why the user needs to do
the maintenance tasks, rather than on naming the list. Here are a few

consider "daily tasks."

If the tasks are triggered by some other event or circumstance, or if the
tasks prevent specific undesirable outcomes, present the maintenance tasks
as a solution: "If fibers are not placed correctly," "Keeping the Whatzit
from making unpleasant noises," or "What you need to do to keep the Whatzit
working at its best."
