Suggest you add AuthorIT ( to your list. I haven't used it for a few years but back then it was very strong in both areas.


We're trying to find the best tool to use for a project that is just
starting. We have two primary requirements:
* robust conditional text
* ability to ship output files as both PDF and MS-Word

Currently on our list to test are Word, Open Office, and LaTeX.
... are there any other tools that we should look at that would
satisfy both of our requirements?
