Re: Nancy Allison's Bad sentence #2: "In order to use USB communications to control the instrument running v. 4.1 firmware, the latest USB drivers must be installed."
I would want a definite specification of the USB driver version, instead of just "the latest version". My new laptop has both USB2 and USB3 ports. I'd probably revise the sentence to:
"Use of USB communications to control the instrument running v. 4.1 firmware requires the installation of USB?? drivers."
