updating includetext fields from a macro

We have a Word doc using {includetext } fields to pull in content 
(within bookmarks) from a number of files.
I created a macro to iterate through the main doc and perform 
UpdateSource on each of those includetext fields.
It runs, and pretends to do its job.

Unfortunately, the fields don't always update. Both the containing doc 
and the included docs are on a SharePoint site.
Any ideas?
