Connecting mic pre-amp to PC

I need to boost a dynamic mic for recording voiceovers. I am looking into
an ART Pro mic pre-amp. (50 bucks used, but I fear itâs only the
beginning.) Trouble is, no one on the net agrees how to set this
combination up. Ideally, I would be able to connect my mic out USB male
connector to the pre-amp and connect the pre-amp XLR out to the PC.
Have you successfully set up something like this?  Advice?
