Yet, this is Microsoft's replacement for it old style guide. The Microsoft Manual of Style will never be updated again. It's EOL.

The new Microsoft Writing Style Guide emphasizes "Microsoft's brand voice." It uses a talking style of writing that I detest. The guide is online and downloadable. Each section has the date the section is updated. It is designed in a multiple writer-friendly format. It uses the modular development format of writing that I like and it incorporates an informal voice that I do not like in manuals. However, the voice does match up with social media help forums sort of voicing that may do more to get user buy-in. I have long advocated for writing documents that encourage readers to read them, rather than use them as coasters.

It may be the case that there will never be another printed Microsoft Style Guide, unless you print it yourself.
