Rather than a technical writer, I consider myself a technical
communicator because I train people to write well. I teach at
Cal Poly State University and consult to industry on their writing
needs. My specialty is training seminars to teach an interesting,
accurate, and efficient style.
Okay, the question......
If Yoga-types and New-Agers can go to Hearthstone on the East
Coast or Esalen/Asilomar on the West Coast to learn about chakras,
auras, meditation, etc......are there training institutes/retreats
for Technical Communicators. I'd like to get on their schedule, become
part of the program.
