Russell Baker once wrote a column in which he discussed how the German language
lets you string together a bunch of nouns to make a descriptive title. He then
made up a bunch of names that people could respond with when asked,"What do you
do?" (For folks who don't define themselves only by what they get paid to do.)
By that method, you are "Dave Truman, Technical
Writerillustratordesignertypographer".

But I can understand if you don't want to squeeze all that onto a business card.
Documentation Specialist is another term that seems to get used a lot. It's
fairly general and not too pretentious.

I call myself a technical writer and if people know what that means I figure I'm
ahead of the game.
