You say *in' - va - lid* I say *in - val' - id*...
If I may, it really is about the intended reader and whow they'd be likely to
interpret the word.
It reminds me of the time I was helping a guy with his computer and explained
that the problem was that one of his files was corrupted.
Well !!!
He just couldn't get it. He asked if it had been hanging out with the wrong
crowd, needed reform school, etc.
