Then it's OK to do this? I've sent resumes out to companies
that I know hire tech writers (but weren't hiring at the time),
but I haven't sent out any for ads looking for programmers.
However, I do keep all of the programmer ads I find (which,
by the way, usually cover several pages in the paper, compared
to the 10 or 12 tech writer ads), but until now it's just been to
get a better idea of the types of software out there now so I
know what most writers are documenting, which programming languages I
should know, etc.
