I've done this in the past, but I've seen the error of my ways. You can't
really avoid collateral damage, and there's the additional problem that some
messages of this type turn out to be forgeries.
System administrators are eager to avoid this kind of problem, and they will
cooperate with you to protect you from abuses of this sort emanating from
their systems. In the case you're complaining about (which I don't remember
getting), you might have better luck sending a complaint to
postmaster -at- nwlink -dot- com -dot- ...RM
