Thanks to all of you who responded to my plea for help on the use of "detail"
vs "detailed." The lead author agreed that "detailed" is the correct word to
use in his document. I shared the explanation by Dick and sources provided
by Beverly, Loren, and Laura with him, and he said that he's saving the info
to "back us up" if anyone challenges our decision. He is one of the most
receptive authors I work with, and usually calls me before he makes a final
decision on something he considers in my realm of knowledge and authority.
Being able to provide detailed explanations and sources (especially
government) makes his position and mine a lot easier to hold. Thanks again.
