CALL FOR PROPOSALS

"TECHNICAL WRITING AND THE CULTURE" AT
THE 17TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF
THE TEXAS/SOUTHWEST POPULAR CULTURE ASSOCIATION
THE TEXAS/SOUTHWEST AMERICAN CULTURE ASSOCIATION
FEBRUARY 8-10, 1996QTULSA, OKLAHOMA



This year the PCA/ACA are adding a new specialty area, Technical
Writing and the Culture, and seek proposals for papers from faculty,
graduate students and working professionals, on cultural aspects of
technical writing. Subject areas may include, but are not limited to:

% Tech Writing and the Changing Corporate Culture
% The WWW and its Effect on American Culture
% Multiculturalism and Technical Writing
% National and Cultural Differences Affecting Technical Writing
% The Culture of Technical Writing
% The Tech Writer in American Culture

The PCA/ACA will also publish a Proceedings volume of selected
papers. Graduate students giving papers will be eligible for the Peter
C. Rollins Prize.


Proposals must be postmarked no later than December 1, 1995. Send
paper title and a 250 word proposal along with your name, e-mail
and snail mail addresses, and corporate or university affiliation to:
