But, to be exempt you must be paid more than some multiple (5x to 6x) of the
minimum wage. If you don't make that much your employer clasifies you as
exempt, your employer is not in compliance with the law. And, since the
minimum wage just went up, some TWs are no longer exempt unless their
employers give them a raise.
