I remember now. I used to save up some really mind-numb trivial
tasks for such times, then do them when I was down. For example,
I would go thru the entire document and change the format of all
cross-references, or work on the index (sorry, indexers, but it
is a manual task and does not take up as much of my brain as
some other jobs). After a day or so of that, I'm glad to get back
to the writing, even if the subject is dreadful.
