When I worked at Autodesk, I *had* to take the writing test about five
months after I'd been working at the company. I'd already worked on a
couple of projects that shipped. The HR/legal folks insisted on the
test. If one candidate had to take the test, ALL had to take it--even if
they'd been hired and working for the company. Whether the tests were
'graded' was something else....
