SPECTRUM '97
our 38th annual seminar

Join us at SPECTRUM '97, the 38th annual seminar of the Rochester
chapter of STC. SPECTRUM is the premier event of our chapter
program year: It will bring together professionals in many areas of
technical communication, who will be sharing their expertise
through workshops and lectures on topics such as:

* Effecive writing
* Troubleshooting procedures
* Managing training and documentation projects
* Balancing work and personal life
* People skills
* Roles and responsibiliies in technical communications
* Setting up a technical communications department
* Technical tips for Web authors
* Translation
* Style guides
* Multimedia

Our keynote speaker will be ROGER GRICE, an STC Fellow and
information consultant specializing in on-line presentation
of information, usability, and human-computer interaction.
There will also be a technical publication awards luncheon,
displays of award-winning publications, and vendor exhibits
and demonstrations.
