Computer Language Research, Inc. is seeking a documentation analyst for our
Dallas (Carrollton) office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain online help systems for Windows 3.11, 95, and NT
products using Microsoft Word and RoboHELP
- Develop and maintain online guides using Adobe Acrobat Exchange
- Develop and maintain printed supplemental product materials such as product
feature documents and installation guides
- Edit online documentation and printed supplemental product materials
- Produce online and printed release notes for windows software products:
including collecting information, routing information to appropriate parties
for approval, and delivering the final versions.
- Proofread printed and online documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to organize and present complex information in a clear and concise
manner
- BA/BS degree in English or Computer Science or a related field (preferably
with a specialization in Technical Writing) or comparable experience
- Proficiency in a Windows environment
- Proficiency with a Windows word processing package (preferably Microsoft Word
7.0 or 97)
- Ability to work with subject matter experts from whom you will obtain
information necessary to document the products
- 0-3 years of experience in technical writing/help development
- Desire to learn about how our products work
- Desire to continue developing technical communication skills and stay up to
date with leading-edge technology
