with such "cookies" (both overt and covert) that I refuse to respond to
those which don't tell the whole story--or respond to them with false
answers (attention survey conductors: your data is probably flawed).
I subscribe to several lists and daily receive many valuable messages
from them. Some (not those from this list thank goodness) are
accompanied by one or more cookies (possibly originating from the list's
advertisers, rather than the list itself).
