Description: Technical Writer

This position involves development and support of end-user product
documentation for software tools and integrated circuit design
libraries, including standard cell, datapath, and memory libraries.

Responsibilities include:

o development and support of end-user product documentation
(user and reference manuals, on-line manuals, training
materials).
o development of documentation plans and schedules.
o design and development of project-related Web pages.

Required Skills/Experience:

o 3-5 years experience writing end-user manuals, on-line
documentation, and/or course materials for CAD software
products or integrated circuit design libraries.
o B.S. in Technical Communication, Instructional Design,
Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, with a
concentration in Human Factors.
o Proficiency in use of document publishing tools
(FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat preferred).
o Familiarity with UNIX workstations.
o Experience in developing and maintaining intranet/Internet
Web pages.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

o Knowledge of IC design tools and methodologies.
o Macintosh and/or Windows NT experience.
o Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Illustrator,
Photoshop).
