Given the context, I assumed that "dis'sing" meant "disparaging",
although it generally means "disrespecting" in today's urban culture.

Dis'sing comes from the word "disrespecting", or being disrespectful to
someone. If you "dis" me, you are being disrespectful to me. Dis, dissing,
dissed, etc. new words...!
