I prefer "an e-mail" for a single piece of mail, and "e-mail" for an
indeterminate number, but I frequently see "e-mails" to denote the
latter. I don't particularly like it, but if more people use it than
my own preferred construction, I will have little to say about it.
I think "emails" looks really weird! 8-)
