Why not discuss these topics over and over? There are new people on the
list all the time who maybe have fresh ideas to share about an otherwise
done-to-death topic. Also, things are changing all the time, including
the consensus (or lack thereof) about these recurrent issues.

I, too, am getting a little weary of the degree/no-degree debate (flame
war), but if people are responding, it might be an issue of interest for
them. If you're tired of it, use your Delete key! God knows, if my
Delete key were a physical switch, it would be red hot from use.
