I agree. The concept has been a strong marketing hook and very successful.
I personally don't like the paradigm, but I can't argue with success.

My favorites are: Management for Dummies
Nuclear Physics for Dummies
Relationships for Dummies
Chess for Dummies
Psychology for Dummies
and the ever-popular Window Dressing for Dummies
