Q&A is quality assurance testing. You do it to verify that the software
works correctly. If you have a GUI app, you should test every window and
button and make sure they do what they should.

You should write up a test plan for all the test cases. You should try
to hit 80% or more of the code. (It helps if you can read code.)

A QA team usually does the testing. If you're testing a GUI app, a good
software package is QA Partner.
