Three good resources:

1.) Robert Bringhurst's "The Elements of Typographic Style."

2.) The Adobe TOC Browser (The CD comes these days with new versions of
FrameMaker and Illustrator, and probably with other Adobe products,too.

3.) On-line, a good place to start is www.will-harris.com.
