Do you or someone you know want a full-time contract job? Some of this can
be done off-site but you must be on-site some of the time. The client is in
Orange County, CA.

I am looking for a writer that has some or most of the following experience:
3+ years writing manuals
GIS
SQL
databases
CAD
environmental engineering
fast learner
Ability to play ping-pong well is important

I have a client that is creating 4 products and I need help. We are writing
user's guides, admin guides, and getting started guides. This is a contract
position for at least 3 months. Planning to ship products in
October/November. You will be working with me and be responsible for at
least 2 manuals. You _must_ know FrameMaker and online help experience
is good. You must be moderate to really computer literate. You will pick up
all projects in mid-October while I am gone for my honeymoon. When I return,
we will again work together to complete the projects.

We also do a lot of GUI design stuff so experience in that is helpful.
Ability to blow up software is a good extra since we also do testing when
needed.

This is my favorite client and the group is wonderful to work with. The
client is completely committed to quality documentation and does what ever
is needed to make it happen. Last year we won awards for the manual and the
help in the OCSTC Publications competition. They have the awards on the wall
in
their lobby.

Please fax me a resume at 909.683.3137. I am looking to send 2 prospectives
to my client in the next week for approval of 1 person. Do not send your
resume if you do not meet at least some of the requirements. Include a best
time to call you so we can chat. I prefer evenings.

sharon
