Hi,
I am in the process of interviewing for a junior/entry level TW
position, and have been asked back for a second/final interview. So, I
guess it is looking pretty good. I would be the only TW and would work
under the supervision of the Help Desk Supervisor.

However, I have some questions for you experts out there. I think I
know what tech writers do, but reading some of your postings has
confused me a bit. Can someone tell me what the range of
responsibilities is for this profession? I want to know as much as I
can so I will know if I am a fit in case I am offered the position. At
this point I am thinking that I definietly am, but a little more
knowledge never hurt anyone. Can you help?

FYI, my background: I have an English degree and have been told I am an
excellent writer. And I must admit, writing, grammar, etc. come easily
to me in the way that math comes easily to those with that aptitude. As
far as computers go, I have taught myself to use many programs
(WordPerfect, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc.) and have also taken
classes. I really love working with technology and am happiest in a job
where I have the opportunity to do so.

Thanks a bunch!
