Headhunter and agency etiquette. In general:

1. Ask your agent if your agreement with them is exclusive. If it is -
why did you agree to that?
2. If not exclusive, tell them you are listing elsewhere too.
3. Do the same with each agent in turn.
4. When an agent finds you a contact, keep that confidential, except -
5. When another agent finds you the same contact, go with the first
one to advise you of the opening, and
6. Tell them, BOTH, only that you have been put forward by another
agency and are going with the first one who contacted you about it.

That should keep them all happy, and your name out of the mud.
