Perhaps severance package laws are different depending on the state. In Canada,
minimum severance packages are dictated by law. The larger companies tend to
be more generous, but there are minimum amounts of severance that companies
must pay.

Barry, are you in the same state as Carene? Do the labour laws differ on the
issue of severance?
