Subject: Question on Correct way to use Web

Is Web an acronym? If so, what does it stand for? Should it be all caps,
i.e., WEB? I want to initial cap only, i.e., Web. Someone else I work
with wants to all cap. I looked this up both in the Microsoft style
manual - not referenced, and webopedia which uses it in context of the
World Wide Web. If you use it in a sentence ...on the Web... do you
need to initial cap?

Also, since I'm asking, is it necessary to always initial cap Internet?

Opinions? Standards?

Thanks, Vickie, vnurre -at- aegonusa -dot- com
