Actually its not quite that bad. Using only Acrobat Reader 3.0 you can use
the text tool, select the text, copy it to the clipboard, then paste it
into Word. You may have to reapply the font in word. Unfortunately you
will have a hard return at the end of every line but this is at least
fixable. A macro can assist with removing extra hard returns but you will
likely have to do some manual work to separate paragraphs.
