I created a fairly simple site for a friend using StarOffice and a little
manual editing. My friend then decided to do some work of his own on it,
using FrontPage. The results were completely broken. None of the images
worked... nor did any local file links, for that matter (ie. some links to
download MP3s from the site). The reason: all image links had been
changed to local pointers, such as <img src="file:///c:\temp\graphic.gif">

A section of text also became invisible because FrontPage decided that
after each section of different-colored text, the foreground should be
changed to the same color as the background... and a space that
mysteriously appeared in the middle of a subsequent foreground color tag
meant the text never got changed back to a visible color again.

It took me nearly an hour to track down and repair all the damage
FrontPage had done. I told my friend if I ever caught him using it again,
I'd restrict his access to to upload to the site.

Your friend and mine,
Matt
