Technical writing position available with a manufacturer of electronic
communications systems in the Chicago suburbs. Position entails writing
both hardware and software documentation for installers and end users.
Looking for a proactive, detail-oriented person with excellent writing
skills who can gather complex technical information from our subject
matter experts and create user-friendly documents. Looking for full-time
employee, but will also consider contract work.

Requirements:
3-5 years of technical writing experience
Bachelors degree in English or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience with Ventura preferred, but proficiency with some type of
desktop publishing package (PageMaker, FrameMaker) required
Basic skills with graphics packages such as Adobe Photoshop/Corel
Photo-Paint and Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW, and understanding of
graphics file formats
Experience with online help a plus
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF file format a plus
Writing samples required at interview
