Hi

There is yet an additional reason to use the "save as" option.

In some programs, as the file is saved and resaved, the file grows larger
and larger as the internal codes become longer and longer. A "save as"
with the same name shortens the file under this circumstance as only the
current "in use" internal codes are kept.
