Position Title: Technical Writer
Position Location: Atlanta
Position Description: The Technical Publications team is responsible for
designing, developing, and maintaining SAFEsuite's Getting Started Guides,
User Guides, and online Help.

This Technical Writer will be involved in developing and writing new
product publications as well as enhancing and maintaining existing
documentation. This Enterprise product contains many applications, including
third-party software that must also be documented. The writer will not be
responsible for the entire project, but will write about certain pieces of
the project alongside other writers. The technology includes browser-based
and Java applications and C++ client server applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Learn quickly in very technical environment
- Have a team attitude
- Focus on solutions, rather than problems
- Take initiative to gather information from SMEs
- Have the ability to become a SME for your product
- Know RoboHelp or other HAT (Help Authoring Environment)
- Develop HTMLHelp with RoboHTML or other tool desired
- Have working knowledge of FrameMaker desired
- Have working knowledge of HTML desired
- Have some knowledge of JavaScript helpful
- Assist Technical Writers, Quality Assurance staff, and others as necessary
to document, test, and understand developed products and components.
- Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Knowledge Requirements
- Online help design
- Information Mapping or other documentation methodology desired
- Client server environments
- Network communication protocols
- Familiarity with encryption helpful
- Other Internet Security-related knowledge helpful
- Risk management knowledge helpful
- Relational databases, such as SQL Server helpful
